Taste of Japan was held at Auckland Museum to give the attendees an idea of Japanese food and culture. There was a movie screening of Studio Ghlibi's Ponyo, sushi making workshop, tatami making demonstrations, and many more. We were there with our organic tofu which were popular with the Japanese community. There were also several Japanese restaurants who were serving their best menu at the event, such as Takara Ramen and Soi. Those who went surely had a good meal!
Have a 'taste' of Japanese culture and food! Performances such as taiko, demonstrations such as wagashi making, workshops such as origami and sushi making, and many more!

A new product is coming. Make your guess on our facebook page. We were at Auckland's popular foodie event, The Food Show. It was great meeting other artisan food makers, and discovering the many premium products out there. The event also made clear the tofu situation in Auckland currently: one group is extremely excited about organic tofu, knowing all the benefits that come from the soybean; another group is clueless as to what exactly is tofu and who more prefer their cheese and milk. So give yourself a pat, if you belong to the first group! If you belong to the second group, never mind, so long as you are keen to find out, we are more keen to tell you about the tofu which has been around for thousands of years.
Two new products were exhibited at the food show: - The Vege Tofu is organic firm tofu, with fresh carrot juice and spirulina added. This gives two natural shades of orange and green, adding colour to the dish, as well as extra nutrition! - The Tofu Misozuke is a traditional Japanese delicacy which dates back to at least the 18th century. Our organic firm tofu is steeped in miso, then aged for months. The lengthy curing process results in an intense-flavoured and creamy product which can be enjoyed on its own. It is a vegan’s answer to cheese; it is also a cheese lover’s newfound friend. Both products have received consumer interest. This month, we feel motivated by several people who have given encouraging words and commending us on making delicious organic tofu in this country long linked with meat and milk. We will continue in our strive to make the most tasty organic tofu in NZ. Calling to those living in Glendowie!
Spencer's at 7 Roberta Avenue stocks our organic tofu range! Who says they don't know what to do with tofu?! Here's a an easy, tasty snack. Mix it up with different spices, marinades etc to give variety. Yum!
